My good friend (and first art patron), Phil Nuxhall, was looking for a way to add some spark to his bathroom walls and his stairway. When he saw what I had done with a paint pen for the Adesso Mason bathrooms, he reached out to me. After touring his home, I was inspired by his artwork and cultural influences. In the first bathroom, he was showcasing a vintage poster he had taken from a subway wall in Paris in the 70's. I came up with an idea to create a background design that picked up on the linear curve pattern in the poster. This became a frame-like accent which worked with the poster on top, but also worked if the art was removed from the wall.
