When a good friend of mine asked me to help him with an idea for a new coffee shop concept, I was more than happy to chime in. Little did I know that it would lead to one of my favorite branding projects of my career. Not only did I get to develop a brand identity and apply that brand to the interior of a building, but I also got to work with a team of creative friends!

Adesso means "NOW" in Italian and my friend Chuck  (the owner and the Coffee Chef) wanted his shop to be a place where you would be "in the moment". The concept was more about an experience, rather than just a cup of coffee. He also wanted a high end atmosphere combined with eclectic, vintage details. The photography, shot by Gina Weathersby Photography, captured the rich, textural details and the art of craft coffee making, along with the simple moments of life. The interiors of the coffee shop was a coordinated vision of Nora Martini (an interior stylist) and myself. The shop is a clean, modern look combined with old Italian details (like the penny tile pattern) and eclectic finds that add to the moments such as a vintage stereo setup.

My hand-drawn touches included the logo on the exterior of the building and wall murals in the restrooms. I made a custom Eclectic Geometric Mobile which hangs from the ceiling along with MODbotanicals and GEOtribal wood burn panels adorning the walls of the coffee shop.
