This past February I took a trip of a lifetime to Honolulu and Maui! Of course I took a lot of pictures of sunsets and beaches, but my true thrill was the completely different types of patterns and textures found in the tropical forests. My family gets mad at me because I spend my trips taking pictures of everything nature rather than documenting the family trip! Oh well, I am never going to pass up a beautiful texture or pattern. My friend David took me to the Iao Valley which was a magical place for me. We walked through creeks like little kids and discovered a magical world of roots and greens. We discovered an incredible tree that looked like a wise sage in the forest. I can’t imagine the wonders this tree has seen in its lifetime.
I am drawn to the mountains and trees, they ground me.
